DESGPC Assistant Professor / Lecturer Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

• For Assistant Professor / Lecturer Posts: Candidates must possess a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation and 55% marks in Post-Graduation in the relevant subject from a recognized institution. UGC NET / Ph.D passed candidates will be preferred. Candidates who appeared in final examination of Post-Graduation are not eligible.
• For Collegiate Schools Posts: Candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks in Post-Graduation in the relevant subject and minimum 50% marks in B.Ed.

Other Conditions

• Punjabi Language Requirement: Must have passed Punjabi upto Matric level.
• Sikh Candidates Condition: Sikh candidates should not be PATIT.
• Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
• Preference: Women candidates may be preferred for the posts in Girls Colleges.
