Educational Qualification:

Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination (Class 10th) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised Board of School Education.

Musical Proficiency:

• 1. The candidate should have proficiency and aptitude for music with accuracy in tempo, pitch, and singing one complete song.
• 2. Practical skill on any instrument of Indian or foreign origin with proficiency in tuning of instrument, matching unknown notes with instrument, prepared piece, sight reading of Indian Classical/Tablature/Staff Notation, performance of Scale/Raaga/Taala, and basic theory of Indian or International music.
• 3. Candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical music on wind instruments must have a musical experience certificate from any recognized musical institute or organisation of repute.
• 4. A minimum initial grade certificate from international boards like Trinity College of Music, London or Royal School of Music London etc., will be mandatory for candidates performing western notation or western music on wind instruments. Other candidates need to submit certificates of participation/awards in musical events.

Recruitment Stages:

Selection is based on merit from performance in the Music Ability Test. The process includes:

• Shortlisting based on Matriculation marks and valid music certificates.
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Written Examination
• Music Ability Test
• Recruitment Medical Examination

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Standards:

Written Examination:

50 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Science, Mathematics, and General Awareness, 30 minutes duration, bilingual (English and Hindi), with a minimum qualifying requirement of 25% marks.

Monthly Package:

A fixed monthly package starting at ₹30,000 in the first year, with yearly increments. Additional allowances for risk, hardship, dress, and travel.

Seva Nidhi Package:

On completion of four years, Agniveers will receive a Seva Nidhi corpus of approximately ₹10.04 lakh (including contribution from Agniveer and matching contribution from the Government of India).

Additional Benefits:

• Life Insurance Cover: ₹48 Lakh (non-contributory)
• Death Compensation: ₹44 Lakh (one-time ex-gratia) + Insurance
• Disability Compensation: ₹44/25/15 Lakh (based on percentage of disability)
