Jammu & Kashmir Bank (JK Bank) has released a notification for the engagement of 614 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (NATS). The apprenticeship program has a training duration of one year and aims to fill vacancies across UT of J&K, UT of Ladakh, and Rest of India (ROI).

Eligible candidates who passed their graduation on or after 01.01.2022 can apply online. The online registration process is active from April 20, 2026 to May 03, 2026.

Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility requirements before applying.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a Graduation degree from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Candidates must have passed their Graduation on or after 01.01.2022.
  • The candidate should be proficient in the local/official language of the respective region and should have studied it as a subject in 10th or 12th.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD etc. will be applicable as per Government guidelines.

J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process consists of an Online Written Examination of objective type.

  • Exam Type: Online Written Examination
  • Total Questions: 100 questions
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Duration: 60 minutes (1 hour)
  • Negative Marking: One-fourth (1/4th) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Language: The online examination will be conducted only in English.
  • Merit List Criteria: The merit list will be drawn district/region and category wise. In case of equal marks, candidates will be ranked based on age in descending order (older candidate ranked higher).
  • Wait List: A wait list of 50% of notified vacancies will be maintained for one year.

Eligible candidates can apply for J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 through online mode only from 20 April 2026 to 03 May 2026. No other mode of application will be accepted.

  1. Candidates must first register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at https://nats.education.gov.in and obtain their enrolment number.
  2. Candidates must apply on the official J&K Bank website at https://www.jkb.bank.in under the Careers tab.
  3. Candidates must upload scanned documents including photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration in English as per the specified format and dimensions.
  4. After submitting the application and paying the fee, candidates must take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form for future reference.

Additional Benefits for J&K / Ladakh Domicile Apprentices

Apprentices from UTs of J&K and Ladakh who successfully complete the apprenticeship program are entitled to additional benefits in future recruitment for Banking Associate cadre:

  • Relaxation of one year in age for subsequent appointment.
  • An additional 2.5% of maximum marks (i.e., 2.5 marks out of 100) will be added to the online written test score, provided the total marks do not exceed the maximum limit.
